Your boy should look cute rather than handsome

Avoid giving your adorable little kid a manly look. Everything has its time and so does choice of attire and accessories. Don’t let your kids fall in a trap of spiky hair. Stop them if they pose for a picture by giving a “sexy fierce look”.

It’s a big NO! No matter how well he is dressed, something about this picture isn’t right. Cute is a better word!

Get them dressed like their favorite cartoon characters

I believe now is the time when kids love to imitate what they see every day on the television. They are inspired by their favorite super heroes and funny characters on the show and they wish to wear cool stuff that showcase those characters. Let them carry a Batman bag when they go to school along with the whole suite that follows the color theme.

Less neutral, more colors

Kids love colors. These are probably one of the first few things that a kid learns in his early stage of life. Parents make efforts to make them able to identify different colors. Making them wear colorful colors help parents ease the process. As they do so, they are also keeping up with kid’s fashion of wearing colorful clothes. I think some fashion tips for kids like this one will remain evergreen!

Take your kids out for shopping

No matter how small your kid is, take him out for his clothes shopping. Things like having a fashion sense come with time and if you make your child used to selecting clothes and shoes for himself, he will be more confident over his choices. You can always intervene to help him choose the right thing but make a habit of discussing THEIR clothes with THEM before they wear those.

Avoid oversized items

Yep, fitting is important even if it’s for a kid. Oversized clothes not just look bad but can also lead to dangerous circumstances like them felling off because their oversized coat came in between the feet while they walked past the footpath. I would say, clothes must not be too small either because it will only lead to your child being cranky and all whining.

The above mentioned fashion tips for kids have been inspired and learnt from real experiences of mothers and fathers. Every parent wants his child to look like a super star, but let’s not forget two things:

  • Let their age decide the trends
  • Never let fashion go off limits
